Nestled in the heart of Northeast Iowa’s Driftless Region, Decorah offers some of the Midwest’s most scenic and trout-rich streams—and there’s no better way to experience them than during the Iowa Driftless Classic (IDC) Trout Fishing Tournament!

The second annual IDC is slated for Saturday, September 20th, 2025 where anglers will participate in a virtual style of “Catch, Picture, Release” fishing tournament and be given 8 hours to strategically explore any of Northeast Iowa’s 60+ spring-fed creeks and rivers that comprise over 150+ miles of fishable water for rainbow, brown and brook trout. The streams in this area are rarely straight, offering anglers a variety of eddies, deep pools, riffles, and seams, all of which are great for holding fish and perfect for excellent trout fishing opportunities.

Following a day out on the water, the day will conclude with dinner and an awards ceremony at Pulpit Rock Brewing Company to anoint the top three general and youth team champions as well as the angler with the largest trout.
